Awbrey Park Newsletter 06/17/2019

Dear Awbrey Park Families,
It is amazing that this is the last two days of school.  So much excitement, energy, learning, frustration, and success throughout the year.  I want to thank our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and guardians for doing such a great job of taking care of our kids.  They are truly loved.  We all strive to do whatever we can to help our kids be successful.  I appreciate everyone’s efforts to problem solve when issues happen, celebrate the triumphs, and stress the positives for our kids.  Each child at Awbrey Park is so special in their own way.  We all want to do whatever we can to help them flourish.  Thank you to all of you for being so positive and making such a difference in kids’ lives.  We appreciate you so much!  Have a safe and fantastic summer!  Our message to kids for the summer: be kind and use sunscreen.

Please check the Lost and Found in the cafeteria for your child’s misplaced clothing. Items will be donated after Wednesday

MondayField Day–5th graders will be running the session for Kinders, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders.  We still could use a couple more volunteers to run the sessions for 4th and 5th graders from 10:35-11:45.  Please let the office know if you can volunteer.  Please make sure your child has a hat or sunscreen for field day.  Field Day times are:
2nd-3rd: 9:15-10:25

4th-5th: 10:35-11:45
K-1st: 1:15-2:15
Tuesday-Last Day of School
Our 5th Graders will have a special breakfast and slideshow starting at 9:00.  We will do a Clap Out at exactly 9:00.  This is where all students and family members and guardians line up around the outside ring of the school.  The 5th graders will walk around the school with everyone clapping and cheering for them.  Parents/Grandparents/Guardians are welcome to join us for coffee and cinnamon rolls during the 5th Grade breakfast.

School will get out at 11:45.
